Reliability & Performance
Unlike many other web hosting companies, GoDaddy has special pride about the
service that they provide because every last server, router and cable that they
use is owned and maintained by them. Their equipment has fully redundant power
and network connections and are monitored 24/7 by their technicians. The
advantage to GoDaddy owning their datacenter and equipment is obvious. They get
to choose the equipment they use, which happens to be top of the line. They
also take security very seriously and have a 24/7 dedicated system in place
that ensures the network perimeter remains secure. All emails flowing through
their systems are also scanned for viruses to provide complete protection for
their clients.
Pricing
Because of the enormous size of the GoDaddy company, they have the ability to
offer outstanding prices to their customers. Their economy plan, which is still
quite packed with features, costs less than $5 per month! The economy plan
comes with 10GB of server space and 300GB per month of bandwidth. Also included
in this package is the ability to use 10 databases and 500 email accounts. If
this is not enough for you, they also offer hosting packages in a wide range of
prices, all the way up to a premium plan on a dedicated server for just over
$200, an outstanding price for the service they are providing!
Control panel
GoDaddy is not too hard to use, even without a technical background. Most
functions within the Account Management tool are similar to other control
panels.
Customer support
GoDaddy offers many support options, such as Telephone Support,Email Support
and FAQ Section on their Web Site. As a nice touch, GoDaddy also
includes various indicators throughout their website that indicate the expected
wait times for telephone support and email responses, All customer of GoDaddy
have complete access to their extremely comprehensive FAQ section as well as
user guides and email support. If you cannot find the answers you are looking
for using these resources, then you can also call into the telephone support
line and talk directly to a support technician. The only downside to this is
that they do not appear to have a toll free line that you can use.
